Long serving Physio Denis Circuit has been chosen as Rotherham United’s Club Hero as part of the Football League Awards 2015.

Each of the 72 clubs competing in the Football League were asked to nominate a member of staff to be recognised for their loyal and dedicated service off the pitch and it was wholeheartedly agreed that there was nobody more deserving of the accolade at AESSEAL New York Stadium than Denis.

Millers’ Chairman Tony Stewart, accompanied by Vice Chairman Richard, took to the hallowed turf to present Denis with the commemorative glass plaque which marks his inclusion in a list of people that will be honoured at 10th annual Football League Awards.

A long and prosperous career with Rotherham United has seen Denis play a part in numerous promotions, with his most recent coming in the form of the Play-off final victory over Leyton Orient at Wembley.

He was set to retire following the Millers’ triumph in the capital which saw them promoted to the Sky Bet Championship but was convinced to continue for another year to help the club preserve their place in the second tier a season later.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank Denis for his colossal contribution to the club over a number of decades and wish him a long and happy retirement from the magic sponge.
