Steve Evans post Nottingham Forest...
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans felt that on another day his side could have recorded maximum points at the City Ground following their 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Late first half goals from Dexter Blackstock and Michail Antonio proved the difference in Nottinghamshire, despite a spirited second half performance from the Millers.
The visitors had good chances following the restart and boss Evans persists that his side’s performance was good in spite of the scoreline.
“The statistics will show that we’ve lost here tonight but I go away pleased with the performance overall and we need now need to get ready for Saturday,” he said.
“We needed a big reaction after the second half when you concede two goals in two minutes to a team that is in rampant form and I think we got that and dominated after the break.”
Former Forest loanee Jack Hunt started brightly at his former stomping ground but had to be withdrawn after the restart after picking up an injury.
“He just twisted near the end of the first half and felt his hip flexor. The longer the half time period went on the stiffer it was getting and we asked to see if he run it off after getting some medical treatment but it was obviously too sore.
“He’ll be 50/50 for Saturday and we probably won’t know exactly until Friday."
