Goalkeeper Tony Thompson has joined Vanarama Conference side Southport on an emergency loan until the end of the season.
The Millers stopper is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club but has featured heavily in the matchday squad providing cover for Adam Collin this season.
He has previously enjoyed loan spells at Chelmsford City, Curzon Ashton and Ossett Albion.
