Calling All Girls – Open Training Sessions

and 17th of June from 6:30pm until 8pm. The girls will have the opportunity join our Under 12, 14, 15, and 16 teams for the 2015/16 season.thRotherham United Whitehill Girls FC will be hosting an open football training session for girls ages 11-16 at Clifton School on Wednesday 10

 

Also, the attendees age 16 that are interested in earning an education in sports will be able to join our Education Academy where they will be studying towards a BTEC in sports and play in our 16 plus Development Squad.This experience can lead straight to university, a career in the Sports Industry. This course will provide students with transferable skills and qualities that can help them develop a long term career in sport. Since the start of the programme 75% of students have progressed onto university including our foundation degree in football coaching and community development

 

Brinsworth Whitehill JFC, Rotherham United Ladies and Rotherham United Community Trust formed a partnership last season to offer organised football for Girls teams at Under 12’s, Under 14’s, Under 15’s, and Under 16’s.

 



The club is affiliated as part of Brinsworth Whitehill JFC but is named Rotherham United Whitehill Girls FC.

Ian Walker, Chairman of Brinsworth Whitehill JFC said, “The Community Trust and Ladies have really helped us with setting up and recruitment for last years teams, and we are looking forward to working with them in the future starting with the training sessions they are holding for Girls in June, from which we are hoping to be able to add to our current squads for next season and maybe if interest is shown start teams at other age groups. As a Charter Community Club we welcome all players of all abilities to come and enjoy competitive football played in the right spirit without the pressure of having to win at all costs.”

 

Jamie Noble, Head of Community at Rotherham United CST added, “It is great to see so many girls getting more involved in sports and we are hoping that some of the older ones book on to our courses.”
