The England Women’s World Cup team exhibited extraordinary efforts throughout the World Cup this year, placing 3rd after a tense extra-time victory against Germany. Local girl Jade Moore from Dinnington contributed to the Lionesses history making after guiding them to the World Cup semi-finals in Canada.

For all you budding Jade Moore's or Toni Duggan's Rotherham United offers the opportunity for you develop your skills and become the next generation Lionesses to roar for England.

Rotherham United WGFC and  Partnership with Brinsworth Whitehill continues to excel and making a name for themselves in the regional and national arena. There are currently 6 teams under the Rotherham United Ladies Umbrella. We are now recruiting players to join our under 12, 14, 15,16 and 18+ teams for the upcoming 2015/16 season.

Rotherham United Ladies first team will be looking for players with relevant experience to compete at a high level in the FA Women’s Premier League Midland Division 1 2015/16 campaign. Players must also be prepared to fully commit and be aware that travelling plays a big part, especially for the away games.

Also, players aged 16 that are interested in earning an education in sports will have the opportunity to join our Education Academy, where they will be studying towards a BTEC in sports and play in our 16 plus Development Squad. This experience can lead straight to university and a career in the Sports Industry.

Jamie noble, Head of community would like to encourage any females to join a team “The Lionesses have done amazingly well out in Canada and we are very proud that one of the stars for England comes from Rotherham as it shows that we have some really talented footballers in Rotherham. The women out sold the men at Wembley during the Olympics and we have been privileged to have had a women’s game at the New York Stadium, so to have had the support from our ladies team and Brinsworth Whitehill I would like any prospective players to get in touch to arrange an informal trial for any of our female teams”

If you are interested in joining and working towards being the next generation of Lionesses please contact Jamie Noble, Head of Community on 07943611112 or email community@rotherhamunited.net .
