Jonson Clarke-Harris joins MK Dons on loan...

Rotherham United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris has joined Sky Bet League One side Milton Keynes Dons on a one month loan deal.

The 20-year-old front-man joins the Dons with boss Steve Evans emphasising that the former Oldham marksman will still have a major role to play for the Millers in the future.

“Jono is a young man we think extremely highly of and he is at a very early stage in his career which must mean him starting competitive first-team matches,” boss Steve Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“The lad has been to see me on a number of occasions, perhaps at times frustrated which is understandable given his youth, but when an approach came in from a number of clubs challenging at the top end of League One he had the option of three moves.

“After his conversations with Karl Robinson he decided to join MK Dons initially for one month. We wish Jono every success in helping MK Dons continue their fight for promotion and on an individual basis we hope he can score some goals before coming back to the Millers to play an important part in the remainder of the season.

“When we purchased the lad from Oldham Athletic it was clear to everyone that this season would be a period of development on his part and this move is part of that.”

Clarke-Harris has netted three times for the Millers this season in the games against Leeds United, Fulham and Huddersfield Town.
