The January nominations have been annoiunced...

The January nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award are:

Aitor Karanka (Middlesbrough)
Another month in which Karanka’s side squeezed the life out of opposition attacks, conceding just one goal in four unbeaten games. Add that to their increasing fluency going forward and Karanka has the Boro faithful believing once more.

Steve McClaren (Derby County)
McClaren’s calmness and understanding of the expectations at Derby have allowed him to manage his players superbly. His team’s three wins from four games, including a vital 1-0 victory at Ipswich Town, were all achieved without conceding any goals.

Neil Redfearn (Leeds United)
Redfearn’s relaxed demeanour is putting his players at ease, and keeping supporters at Elland Road fairly happy. An eight-point haul from games against four in-form sides included a 1-0 win over leaders AFC Bournemouth.

Mark Warburton (Brentford)
Warburton’s team plays some of the most attractive football in the division. They swept to another three wins in four games to continue their unexpected promotion push. Warburton’s players fully embrace his innovative approach to management.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 6 2015

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
