Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans faces a wait on the fitness of new signing Jack Hunt ahead of the home fixture with Ipswich Town.

The Crystal Palace loanee impressed on debut as a substitute during last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic, but his home bow has been put into doubt by a heavy cold resulting in him missing training yesterday.

“A few of the lads have had different days off for the same reason but it has just seemed to have really gripped Jack late on Wednesday,” Evans told Millers Player.

“He missed Wednesday and Thursday training which isn’t a good sign, we would love to have him with us, but if the kid is not right he’ll bounce back soon I’m sure.”

There was better news for Evans on the injury front with both Lee Frecklington and Rob Milsom returning from injury and set to be included in his matchday squad.

“Frecklington has been really good this week, and he may play a part on Saturday,” added Evans.

“Rob is also back fit and like Lee (Frecklington) he is a great professional, we just need Rob to stay injury free for a while now.”

There is a full interview on Millers Player now.
