Neil Redfearn talks to

Boss Neil Redfearn will be seeking to build on his side’s recent impressive form as the Millers prepare for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow.

Redfearn has seen his side close the gap on the rest of The Championship in recent weeks after back-to-back victories over Leeds United and Bristol City, which has hauled his side off the foot of the division.

The Millers have also kept clean sheets in each of their last two encounters, as Redfearn looks to build on the recent defensive solidity.

“It is back-to-back clean sheets now,” he told

“If you keep clean sheets then you are in with a chance of winning games. I thought that we defended well as a team (against Bristol City) right from the front; we worked as a unit and closed them down. That has got to be the way forward for us.”

After several positive performances where the Millers yielded no points, Redfearn believes that his side’s luck has changed in recent weeks, but he was keen to stress that the run must continue if his side are to climb the competitive Sky Bet Championship.

“The last two games we have had the performance and we got the results,” Redfearn confirmed.

“I said right at the beginning that if we get the level of performance right, then the chances are we will get the results.

“We had a tough run of games, aside from the Derby and Ipswich games where we let ourselves down, I think in the other games we played well but didn’t get the rewards.

“It is important now that we capitalise on this run that we are on.

“We need to make sure that we continue to concentrate on ourselves, and keep picking points up where we can. If we can string three, four, five games together then great – it puts us in a far better position.”

There is a comprehensive full pre-match build up with Neil Redfearn on Millers Player HD now.
