Midfielder returns to Portman Road...
Midfielder Luke Hyam has been recalled from his loan spell with the Millers by parent club Ipswich Town.
The 24-year-old made a total of five appearances in Millers’ colours after joining the club in November, featuring in the wins over Bristol City and Hull City at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Rotherham United boss Neil Redfearn explained that he understood the reasoning behind Hyam’s recall, whilst taking time to thank him for his contribution during his stay in South Yorkshire.
“Mick (McCarthy, Ipswich manager) has injuries and it is coming into a time when he needs his players back,” boss Redfearn told www.themillers.co.uk
“There is a recall clause available to Ipswich so we have to respect their option to bring Luke back.
“I would like to thank Mick McCarthy and Ipswich Town for allowing us to take Luke here. I would also like to thank Luke for his service to us; he did a great job for the club during the time he was here.
“I thought he was outstanding in the victory over Hull City last Saturday and we wish him all the best for the future.”
