Help Iwan raise money for trip to USA for treatment...

Rotherham United is calling upon fans to support local boy Iwan Clarke and his family in their efforts to raise £200,000 take Iwan to the United States for a potentially lifesaving treatment that is not available here in the UK.

Rotherham boy Iwan was diagnosed with a type of Leukaemia known as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in September 2009 when he was just 10 years old. Since then he has been through endless rounds of chemotherapy treatment and two bone marrow transplants to try and beat the disease.

Sadly none of these treatments have provided a cure for Iwan who is now 16 and still battling his illness. His parents are hoping that the treatment called CAR T-Cell Therapy which is available at Seattle Children’s Hospital will see their son finally overcome the disease but need the help of Rotherham United supporters to raise the required amount for the treatment.

The kindness of the local community has so far seen friends, family and local schools and businesses donate to the cause and has seen the kitty amass a staggering £55,000, which is over quarter of the way to the target.

Rotherham United would like to appeal to it’s supporters to try and boost that tally to the £200k required to help Iwan in his attempts to fight this terrible disease.
