Sky Bet commit future to Football League at AESSEAL New York Stadium...

Rotherham United were delighted to play host to the Football League as Sky Bet signed an extension to their sponsorship deal in the presence of chairman Tony Stewart and first team manager Neil Redfearn at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Representatives from both parties gathered at the Millers’ South Yorkshire home as Sky Bet put pen-to-paper on a deal that will see the Football League carry their name until 2019.

Chairman Tony Stewart posed for photos before being interviewed for Sky Sports News and admitted he was thrilled that AESSEAL New York Stadium had been selected as the venue for the deal to take place.

“It is a great honour for us to have been chosen by the Football League to help launch this prestigious new sponsorship deal,” he beamed.

“Sky Bet have been a great partner to the League and I am delighted that they will be involved for the foreseeable future. All 72 clubs will benefit greatly from the revenue that Sky Bet are able to generate through their association and it is excellent that our stadium was selected to help facilitate the deal.”

Shaun Harvey, Chief Executive of the Football League, was amongst the visitors at the Millers’ home on Tuesday afternoon with each of the Football League trophies also making the trip to South Yorkshire.

“It was great to see Shaun and his team who work so hard throughout the season in maintaining the extremely high standards that we have come to expect from the Football League.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his efforts and once again express my gratitude in being selected to host the launch of this exciting new sponsorship deal."
