James and the other volunteers will also lead sports workshops and sharing their skills with the underprivileged children. The visit will be hugely developmental for those involved and will provide an insight to life in a very tough part of the world.
RUCST primarily deliver quality provision in Rotherham, but with the help of Africa’s Gift we are getting the brand of Rotherham United to parts of the globe where communities may not have heard about us before, with the hope to gain new fans from the hard work our Volunteers will be doing.
Matt Twigg (Managing Director) said "Everyone at Eric Twigg Foods wish James and the group all the success in their volunteering adventures in Africa, it’s an amazing cause and a fantastic opportunity for all involved”
“A project of this magnitude shows just how much Rotherham United Community Sports Trust has expanded over the past few years, from being a charitable organisation delivering quality provision in our local community, to now, taking a group on a volunteer expedition in Africa with the skills and experience which will provide help for underprivileged communities”
Jamie Noble (Head of Community) said "Thanks to Matt at Eric Twigg Foods for supporting James with his fundraising efforts, it’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved to make a difference to communities on an international level"
