Long serving Denis presented with award...

Rotherham United’s long-serving Physio Denis Circuit has been presented with the Club Recognition Award sponsored by Heineken for his years of loyal service to the Millers.

A veteran on the touchline and a revered character at AESSEAL New York Stadium, Denis passed the milestone of 700 games as Physio of Rotherham United midway through the 2013/14 season, before announcing he was calling time on his long career at the end of that season.

He ended in a blaze of glory as the Millers beat Leyton Orient at Wembley to earn promotion to the Sky Bet Championship. That wasn’t the end though and after only a couple of months with his feet up he returned to the medical room for one last season ending his premature retirement.

In two spells with the club, the second of which lasted 16 years, Circuit has been the Millers much respected custodian of the magic sponge.

Previously with Sheffield United alongside Howard Kendall, Circuit turned down the opportunity to follow the legendary manager to Everton, and later moved to Germany before returning to South Yorkshire with the Millers in November 1999 where he has remained ever since.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to wish Denis a long and happy retirement.
