Millers extend Mears partnership

Mears Group will continue to sponsor the South Stand at AESSEAL New York Stadium

Rotherham United are pleased to announce that Mears Group have extended the deal to sponsor the South Stand at AESSEAL New York Stadium for another three years.
 
The stand, previously known as the Morrison Stand, will undergo a name change, taking on the title of the parent company Mears.  Mears is a partner to the local Council in the provision of housing and social care services.
 
Mears will continue to have its name emblazoned on the away end at AESSEAL New York Stadium after assuming sponsorship of the stand upon the stadium’s opening in 2012.

Alan Long, Executive Director of Mears Group, was overjoyed to have retained the naming rights to the stadium’s South Stand for the foreseeable future:

"Rotherham United Football Club share our values in working closely with local people and local communities. That’s why we are proud to extend our partnership for another three years.”

Commercial Director Steve Coakley was also delighted to have secured the sponsorship of such a well-recognised company:

“The deal completes the extension on sponsorship agreements on all four stands at AESSEAL New York Stadium, and with the same companies committing long-term it shows that we have a fantastic working relationship with our commercial partners and long may that continue."
