Tidser joins the Latics...

Rotherham United midfielder Michael Tidser has joined Oldham Athletic on a loan deal until January.

The Glasgow-born midfielder was subject to an approach from Oldham Athletic earlier this morning, and after considering the move the player has moved to Boundary Park with immediate effect.

The player’s performance levels at Oldham Athletic will be monitored on a match-by-match basis by the Millers, and everyone at Rotherham United wishes the player every success during his loan period.

Manager Steve Evans said this evening:

“I spoke with Tids after training today and he indicated that he would like to take up the opportunity to move to Oldham Athletic, which in turn allows the lad to get the competitive first-team action he desperately desires.

“There is no doubt that he will play a key role for Lee Johnson’s side in the next few months and I would expect he will become a firm favourite with the Boundary Park supporters.”
