On September 10th 2014, RUCST relaunched its Jobshop programme at the New York Stadium.

The programme is now formally known as The Millers Community Jobshop. The success of the Jobshop is evident as the number of attendees continues to increase. Beginning at 2 hours per week, the drop-in Jobshop has increase to 5 hours every Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Mayor John Foden and Mayoress Kath Foden attended the event to support the great initiative that the Trust has continuously delivered to the community of Rotherham.

One attendee said, “The coordinators create a supportive and welcoming environment for everyone who attends. I use to attend the Jobshop held at Wath but when it was cancelled due to the lack of funding, I decided to travel to the stadium to get further help and guidance. The Jobshop programme is quite beneficial and I also get to meet a variety of people.”

Another Jobshop attendee said, “Over the years I have struggled. Being employed by an agency is frustrating because I am employed based on a seasonal or part-time basis. However, attending the Jobshop has continuously kept me motivated. I am currently getting assistance in finding a job that is more permanent.  I am grateful for all the help and support I have received. Out of the programme I have gotten interviews and assistance on what is expected at an interview.”
