NCS social action group 2 donates to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
Over the summer group 2 of the NCS social action project has been fundraising for the Thornberry Animal Sanctuary. On Friday 5th September, 2014 the group donated £50 of animal food and £115 monetary contribution to Thornberry.Thornberry Animal Sanctuary offers refuge to neglected and abuse animals. The shelter operates on a no-kill policy and no healthy animal should be destroyed. For years Thornberry has contributed to care for abandoned or mistreated animals and they rely entirely on donations and fundraising to operate.
Ryan Canadine, Health and Wellbeing Officer said, “It was great to assist Thornberry by donating food and money.”
Kath, the manager of Thornberry said, “We appreciate all the contribution that the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust has done to help us towards caring for the animals.”
