The Millers welcome back a very special guest tomorrow for the game against Middlesbrough.
Lauded by many as one of the best ever to pull on a Rotherham United shirt, John Breckin has finally got his man after many months in pursuit. Tomorrow, New York Stadium opens its doors for the first time to a star of the 1980-81 team and a true icon of the football club as Tony Towner will be the VIP in front of a sold out hospitality lounge.
Due to the popularity of the man affectionately known by the Millers faithful as ‘Tiger’ he will paraded prior to the game on the New York surface, being introduced at 2.50pm before also doing the half-time draw. Half-time will also see a selection of other stars from the all-conquering 80-81 team.
A big crowd is expected at New York for the game tomorrow, and we recommend supporters arrive early to see the return of one of the Millers’ very best!
