Ben Bennett Jnr signs a new deal...
Rotherham United have extended the club partnership with Ben Bennett Jnr until the Summer of 2017.
The Millers have signed a new three-year deal with the club’s long-term partners which will see the Ben Bennett name remain over the East Family Stand.
“I am very proud to continue what has been a very long and successful partnership with Rotherham United,” said Mr. Bennett.
“Since my first game as a supporter in 1950 I have always had a strong affection for the club, and all these years later I am still as passionate for the Millers now as I was back in the 50s.
“To come and watch the club in the New York Stadium is marvellous and I am looking forward to the rest of this season and beyond watching along with my family who are also all big Millers supporters.”
Rotherham United’s Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens was equally pleased with the announcement saying the Bennett name was now a club institution.
“The Ben Bennett name has become synonymous with Rotherham United over many decades and that is set to continue following today’s agreement.
“Mr and Mrs Bennett and their family are all keen supporters of the club and their enthusiasm for Rotherham United is as strong as ever. It will be a pleasure to host them in the lounge for many years to come.”
Commercial Director Steve Coakley added:
