Rotherham United in partnership with South Yorkshire Police would like reiterate some key messages ahead of the televised Yorkshire Derby with Leeds United tomorrow evening.
Following fantastic ticket sales for both home and away ends the match is completely sold out with no prospect of any more tickets becoming available.
The club would like to stress to supporters of both teams not to go to the stadium without a ticket.
With a large crowd in attendance Rotherham United would also advise supporters to arrive early to avoid any unnecessary queuing outside the turnstiles.
It is also advisable to park up early as there is strictly no parking at the stadium, whilst the roadworks around New York continue to be in operation therefore queuing on the surrounding roads is expected.
The game is live on Sky Sports but there will be very few, if any, pubs showing the game in Rotherham Town Centre so our advice for supporters particularly those who may be travelling from Leeds or out of town, is to watch the game at home or in your local.
After the game the barrier system will be in operation with home fans being directed towards Don Street whilst away supporters will exit via New York Way leading to Main Street. These restrictions are anticipated to be in place for up to 20 minutes after the final whistle has blown.
Leeds United supporters may be asked to delay their exit from the ground after the full-time whistle for a short period of time for crowd safety reasons.
Rotherham United are extremely grateful for the help and support of South Yorkshire Police and the co-operation of both sets of supporters. We hope you enjoy what promises to be a fantastic Yorkshire Derby.
