The first-team might not be in action this weekend but Rotherham United’s Academy are looking forward to a local derby with Chesterfield.
The Millers host the Spireites at the club’s Academy facility at Sheffield Hallam University on Bawtry Road, kick off 11am.
Academy Manager Garreth Barker is looking forward to the contest and is hoping to attract some Millers fans who might be looking to take in a game over the weekend.
“The boys have looked very sharp in training this morning and we are looking forward to the game at the weekend,” Garreth told www.themillers.co.uk
“This is the start of three tough but exciting local fixtures with Mansfield and York to come shortly.
“We kick off at 11am at our Academy facility on Bawtry Road, if any supporters want to come down and cheers us on then you will be more than welcome. The Academy has an excellent café facility upstairs so come down have a coffee and watch the lads in action in a local derby.”
