Millers boss expects big striker to miss out...

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans admits Alex Revell is a major doubt ahead of the Millers’ trip to Reading tomorrow evening after being withdrawn during the defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

“We think he’ll miss Reading, but it will be a late decision,” Evans told Millers Player. “It’s his jaw that’s the problem not his head or eyes or anything. He’s never had the best looking jaw but it’s a bit worse at the moment and very sore.

“It just means Revs might be doubtful and we’ll have to see how he is.”

Revell’s game came to a premature end after getting on the wrong end of Daniel Ayala’s boot during the first-half, a decision that Evans has since expressed his displeasure at, but fortunately for the Millers boss and the player himself, it’s not as serious as first feared.

“The paramedics and the St. John’s staff do a wonderful job up and down the country on a matchday at every football game but when we saw about 40 of them on the pitch we were worried. It looked a bit more serious than what it was but whether he’ll be available we’ll have to see.”
