Millers extend KCM deal

3 November 2014

Rotherham United have extended their existing agreement with KCM Recycling which will see the club’s long-term partner continue to sponsor the Kop End at New York Stadium.

The local company, who also sponsor the home team dugout, have agreed a three year extension which will see their name remain above the North End of the Millers iconic home.

Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens heralded the agreement as ‘fantastic news’ as the club continue to strengthen their commercial ties following the recent extension of the East Stand sponsorship with Ben Bennett JNR.

“This is fantastic news for the club and we are delighted to sign this agreement with a company that we have worked alongside successfully for many years.

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Phil Hickling and his team for a long time and I know just how passionate they are about Rotherham United.

“The deal is for the next three years but I am sure we’ll be working with KCM long into the future.”

Commercial Director Steve Coakley added:

“The deal with KCM comes off the back of a similar deal with Ben Bennett Jr for the East Stand, and last years extension with Eric Twigg Foods and Pukka Pies for the West Stand.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationships with partners like KCM who have been with us through our time at Millmoor and the years at Don Valley. With the club continuing to make progress both on and off the field all parties are now starting to see the fruits of many years of hard work and long may this continue.”

Phil Hickling, Managing Director of KCM Recycling, was equally thrilled to extend the agreement.

“This is a fantastic time to be a Miller, it has been an unbelievable last couple of years and everyone at KCM Recycling are proud to be associated with such a vibrant and successful club.

“I was delighted to sponsor the North Stand at New York. Some of the best atmospheres and greatest moments in my memory have come in front of the KCM Recycling Stand, and I am always proud to see our name everytime we score at that end of the stadium. I am looking forward to many more cherished memories in the years to come.”
