The Healthy Hearts programme that is funded by Heart Research UK targets disability adults of all abilities, including physical, learning, sensory impairments and mental health.
The programme is design to improve the overall health and fitness of participants, through sports and nutrition. The Healthy Hearts participants have continue to show great improvements, especially Andrew who comes from Addison Day Centre at Maltby. Andrew is one of our participants from Addison Day Centre at Maltby. When Andrew first started attending the sessions he weighed 20st 2lb and now he weighs 18st 12lb.
Ryan Canadine, Health and Wellbeing Officer said, “It is great to see how hard the participants work each week and I am pleased to see the tremendous results.”
Healthy Hearts sessions runs every Wednesday at the Rotherham Leisure Centre from 10:30am to 11:30am and will continue to run until Christmas.
