Kieran Agard is nominated for the Player of the Month for April...

Rotherham United’s Kieran Agard has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for April.

The winger/striker has been in sparkling form for the Millers during the month netting a hat-trick against Wolves, the opener at Gillingham and the winner against Port Vale.

Agard will be up against Dave Edwards of Wolves, Paul Gallagher of Preston and Jack Grealish of Notts County for the award.

Nominations in full:

Kieran Agard (Rotherham United) – striker
Five goals in six games. Having been used in a wide role, he began operating more centrally in April. His positional sense found him the necessary space in the area. Proved his worth to score as a substitute against Port Vale.

David Edwards (Wolverhampton Wanderers) – midfielder
A hard-working presence in the centre of the Wolves midfield all season, he discovered his goalscoring touch in April. The Welshman scored in four separate games including in the 2-0 victory at Crewe Alexandra as Wolves sealed promotion.

Paul Gallagher (Preston North End) – midfielder
An outstanding month for the Scot who created havoc on both wings. Of the 14 goals Preston scored in three home games, he scored four - including a hat-trick in the 5-2 win over Shrewsbury Town. He set up eight more with his passing and mobility.

Jack Grealish (Notts County) – midfielder
The 18-year-old has been a revelation since joining on loan. His willingness to take on defenders helped County to three vital home wins, turning defenders inside out to set up two goals against Port Vale and another versus Swindon Town.
