Well done Kieran...

Rotherham United striker Kieran Agard has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for April.

After being used in a wide role, he began operating more centrally in April and scored five goals in six games.

Rotherham manager Steve Evans said: “This is just what the lad deserves.

“He’s got 25 goals this season and 90% of those coming when he’s played from a wide position.

"Unless you’re scoring four a game, to get as many goals as him you need to be spreading them over the course of the season and he’s been consistently good.

“Kieran has a great enthusiasm for the game. He’s a very honest hard-working guy and one who is enjoying his football at the moment.”

Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: “Kieran’s memorable hat-trick at Molineux has helped him hit the magical 20-goal mark this season.

The Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award went to Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede.

In Sky Bet League 2, Fleetwood Town midfielder Josh Morris was named Sky Bet Player of the Month.

The Player of the Month judging panel comprises Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins.

Sky Bet is the title sponsor of The Football League. The sponsorship includes a revenue share deal with all 72 member clubs.

The revenue share generates money, paid to every club, based on the revenue generated by their fans who sign up and bet with Sky Bet.

Through this ongoing arrangement, Sky Bet is able to add another income stream to every club in The Sky Bet Football League.
