New boy looking forward to working under Steve Evans...

New signing Conor Newton is looking forward to working under Manager Steve Evans and will be watching Sunday’s League One Play-Off final to find out what division he will be making his Millers debut in.

“The guy’s full of passion and if you look at his CV it speaks for itself so I’m looking forward to working under him and I’m sure it will be successful,” Conor told Millers Player. “I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll be watching the game on Sunday with a lot of anticipation and I hope the boys can get a result.”

Newton, who has spent 18 months on loan with St Mirren over two spells has put pen-to-paper with the Millers regardless of the division they’re playing in, and believes he’s signed for a club who are on the up.

“I know the gaffer has been in Scotland watching me and it’s happened quite quickly but I’m really looking forward to it. The club’s going in the right direction and regardless of whether it’s the Championship or League One I’m just looking forward to playing with Rotherham.”

There will be a full interview available with Conor on Millers Player.
