Goalkeeper to remain with Ossett...

Goalkeeper Tony Thompson has extended his stay with Evo-Stik outfit Ossett Albion until the end of the season.

Thompson, in his second loan of the campaign after a spell with table-topping Curzon Ashton has played in the last four games for Albion, helping them to a stretch of three games unbeaten, their longest run of the season.

The young goalkeeper has featured once as an unused substitute this season, when Scott Shearer was unavailable for the victory away to Tranmere Rovers.

Thompson is likely to retain his place in the squad for the visit of Northwich Victoria to Queen’s Terrace tomorrow afternoon.
