England U18s Squad Announced

27 March 2014

England take on Germany at New York Stadium...

Neil Dewsnip has named his England U18s squad to take on Germany at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium next month.

The Young Lions have enjoyed a packed schedule this season, playing six games behind closed doors at St. George’s Park against Croatia, Belgium and Hungary. And they will round-off their campaign in front of a home crowd in South Yorkshire and what should be their toughest test against Germany.

Dewsnip has selected a 17-man group for the game, made up largely of players who have featured for the U18s at stages throughout the season.

There is one newcomer to the group though, with Reading defender Robert Dickie getting his first England call at any level. The squad will meet up in Sheffield on Saturday 12 April and train at Barnsley in the build-up to the game on Wednesday 16 April.

The squad
Goalkeepers: Callum Burton (Shrewsbury Town), Ted Smith (Southend United).
Defenders: Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Robert Dickie (Reading), Brendan Galloway (MK Dons), Ashley Smith-Brown (Manchester City), Jack Whatmough (Portsmouth).
Midfielders: Dele Alli (MK Dons), Reece Brown (Birmingham City), Alex Gilliead (Newcastle United), Bryn Morris (Middlesbrough), Harry Winks (Tottenham Hotspur).
Forwards: Brandon Barker (Manchester City), Bradley Fewster (Middlesbrough), Ryan Kent (Liverpool), Nathan Oduwa (Tottenham Hotspur), Dean Rittenberg (Blackburn Rovers).

Tickets for the game are on sale now and priced at just £3 for adults, £1 for children/OAPs and for groups of 15 or more [bookable in advance only], it is just 50p admission.
