Defender pleased at scoring return...

Mark Bradley returned to the side on Tuesday for the Millers’ 2-0 victory at Oldham Athletic, and opened the scoring with a well-taken close range finish.

And the former Walsall man will come face-to-face with his old employers this week knowing that both sides will be striving for the points both in the hunt for a place in the top six.

“They’re trying to get in the play-offs and of course we need the points to stay there so it should be a good game,” Bradley said in the aftermath of the victory at Boundary Park. “I know it’s a cliché but we’ve just got to keep taking it game by game and you never know we could find ourselves pushing for automatic as well. The priority though is just cementing that place in the play-offs.”

It was Bradley’s first start since the 2-1 victory at home to Stevenage where he struggled through the closing stages with a back injury, and he’s managed only a two minute cameo at Colchester since.

“I haven’t played the last three or four games with a back strain which kept me out for 10 days or so and then to sit on the bench for a couple of games is frustrating but it was nice to come back into the game (at Oldham) and make a difference. We’ve got a really strong squad here with everyone dying to play a part. Everyone is working for each other but when you’ve got a chance you’ve really got to take it to stay in the team.”
