Jason Harwin Volunteers for Trust

17 June 2014

Sponsored by

As part of the ‘count me in’ campaign ran by Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) Jason Harwin, Chief Superintendent from Rotherham police came and volunteered with RUCST for the day!

Jason came and volunteered at one of our school sports sessions and an evening presentation ceremony recognizing the achievements of three of our football teams, disability adults, disability juniors and united 4 communities.

Jason helped coach year 3 – year 6 cricket and football for the afternoon at multiple sessions, all the children were very excited to have Jason involved and Jason was excellent with the children. Jason then came and helped out at our presentation evening by giving out awards and medals which was great for the participants to be recognised by a figure like Jason.

Jason kindly gave up his time to volunteer with RUCST and in doing so made a positive impact on the community. Jason is a very busy man working long hours and he still managed to help and give back to the community. Could you do the same? Could you give up time to help your community and the people in it?

RUCST are recruiting for new volunteers so, are you 16-25? Are you looking for something to do to give back to the community, learn new skills and gain experience? Then why not come and volunteer with RUCST! There are many different opportunities you can get involved with from assistant sports coaching, to admin to fundraising. We will cater a volunteer program to suit you at times to suit you!

If Jason can find the time, will you?
