Brandy set for Stocksbridge outing...

Febian Brandy will make his return to action on Tuesday evening at Stocksbridge as the Millers prepare once again to split the first team squad over two games.

Brandy, who missed the weekend’s games as well as last week’s victory over Nottingham Forest with a knock, will start the game against the Northern Premier League outfit, whilst Saturday’s three-goal man Alex Revell starts at Alfreton.

Steve Evans has confirmed a trialist could be involved at both venues but it’s yet to be confirmed, whilst the managerial split will also happen again, with a late decision set to be made on who goes where.

Once again the substitutes bench will be made up of youth and development players.

“The two games coming quickly on the back of two at the weekend are highly beneficial for the first-team squad as they continue their pursuit to be ready for the season opener at Derby County on the 9th August,” Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“It’s my intention to go to Doncaster on Saturday and then host Leicester City next Tuesday with only first-team players but the squads will be rotated largely on 45 and 60 minutes.

“Fitness within the group is excellent and it’s now all about match time and sharpness which we will have a big emphasis on next week.”
