Youngsters join League Two Wycombe...

Rotherham United youngsters Daniel Rowe and Nicky Walker have joined League Two club Wycombe Wanderers on a short-term loan.

Walker was a half-time substitute at Stocksbridge on Tuesday evening, scoring with his first touch, before setting up two further goals, whilst Rowe has also been on the scoresheet when he put the Millers ahead at Queen of the South.

The duo, who both featured in the midweek games, as well as several fixtures in pre-season prior to that, will meet up with the Chairboys as they look to build on their final day survival last time out.

Defender Rowe, 18, spent the latter part of the season with the Buckinghamshire-based club, playing seven games in helping keep them in the Football League, whilst Walker had time on loan at Barrow after making his debut in the previous season.

Both players will be eligible to feature in the Capital One Cup and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
