Youngsters to make up side for Queens trip...
After a fantastic 11 day break in Scotland, Manager Steve Evans has decided to have an in-depth look at theDevelopment Squad at QOTS todays.A number of small niggling injuries have meant that several players have had more game time than the Manager expected and after a consultation with the medical team and fitness coach Paul Warne, it’s been decided that none of the senior squad will be involved at Palmerston today.
“I’ve been delighted with the trip and within a number of days of returning to Rotherham we should have a number of players returning in plenty of time for next weekend,” Manager Steve Evans said this morning.
“Our Development players will be important to us in the season ahead and it’s essential they experience preparation at first team level which in term gives them the opportunity to stake a place in the first team squad for Derby.
“There’s much expected of some of our young players but potential is a very different thing to delivery. That for them starts today.”
The game will still be taken by the Millers’ first-team staff.
