Two of our students have been selected to attend a 5 day training camp in Barcelona
The year 13 RUCST Futsal scholarship group have now finished their 2 year course and we have been very pleased with the grades achieved by the students, as part of the Football League trust and in partnership with @futsal we are delighted that 2 of our students have been selected to attend a 5 day training camp in Barcelona along with the Soccer AM winners Grimsby Town and a number of continental teams. The trip will involve training, playing in a tournament and a visit to the Nou Camp stadium!
Hasan Bhatti has been chosen due to the outstanding work and dedication that he has shown in community projects whilst combining his studies and gaining the grade he needs to progress his learning with the Community Sports Trust- Education Academy. Hasan will now go onto complete their latest two year Foundation degree in Community Football Coaching and Development.
Hussein Salem will partner Hasan thanks to his fantastic grades and undoubtable talents on the futsal pitch, Hussein is a regular with the England development squad and was the top scorer in the league that saw Rotherham United crowned Champions of the North Central Division. Hussein has achieved an overall grade of DDM which equates to 280 UCAS points which he plans to use at University next year.
