NCS Spring 2014 Programme

9 January 2014

Sponsored by

RUCST will be delivering the NCS during the Easter half term and there are 30 places available for Year 12 Students either living or going to school in the local area.

The aim of NCS is to give participants the opportunity to get ahead by having fresh experiences and learning new skills that are valuable to employers and further education organisations, such as leadership and team building. It’s also a chance to have fun and meet other young people in a safe and structured environment.

The programme runs throughout the Easter half term and involves 3 nights and 4 days at an outdoor activity centre. Participants will then spend 3 days in their community gaining qualifications such as sports leaders, first aid and equality and diversity.

RUCST are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff, volunteers, parents, partner agencies and commissioned services to share this commitment. As a result a rigorous recruitment process for recruiting leaders, volunteers and other staff members will be undertaken. This will include Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks as required for appropriate roles.
