Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans is eagerly anticipating the visit of his former club Crawley Town as the Millers seek their third straight league victory.

It will be the second time the Millers boss has faced the Red Devils after a 2-1 success at the Broadfield Stadium earlier in the season.

Evans managed Crawley between 2007 and 2012 achieving promotion to the Football League before departing with the West Sussex club poised for a second successive promotion into League One.

“We had a great time at Crawley and it is a game that I am obviously looking forward to,” Evans told Millers Player.

“We set some records in non-league football at Crawley, and whilst you can never say records will never be broken, it will be a long time before this one is.

“There are still a number of players left from my time there and the ownership is still the same, they are people I still speak to on a regular basis. I have nothing but respect for a number of those players and for the owner who is a terrific individual.”

Evans, whose current side occupy a top six position in the League One table, will be hoping to make it three wins on the spin after impressive results against Crewe and Shrewsbury Town.
