Rotherham United manager Steve Evans reveals the extent of the injury to Wes Thomas...
Goalscorer Wes Thomas was withdrawn at half-time as a precaution according to Rotherham United boss Steve Evans.
Thomas netted his first ever Millers goal with a cute header from a Ben Pringle cross during the first-half of Rotherham’s 2-1 success over Leyton Orient.
He was then replaced at half-time by Tom Hitchcock with Evans confirming after the game that he was withdrawn due to a tight groin.
“I thought that Wes Thomas was a real handful for the first 45 minutes,” Evans told Millers Player.
“Every time we went forward, they didn’t know where he was. He got a goal early and was always on the front foot but unfortunately for us a couple of minutes before half-time he overstretched.
“He said that his groin felt a little tight but such is the man he is he said don’t take me off. We had to take him off though but it was precautionary.”
