U's v Millers - Betting Preview

6 February 2014

Fancy a flutter on Colchester United v Rotherham United...

Following on from last week's last gasp victory over Leyton Orient, Rotherham travel down to Colchester looking to consolidate their play-off position.

Wes Thomas scored on his home debut in that game, with Sky Bet giving odds of 28/1 for him to score first in a 2-1 Millers victory.

Alex Revell's late winner secured the win, the odds for him and Thomas to join each other on the score-sheet again are 13-2.
Top scorer Kieran Agard will also look to continue his exploits in front of goal, and is 8-1 to bag a brace at the Colchester Community stadium.

The two teams played out an exciting 2-2 draw back in November, and odds of 12/1 for a repeat result may be tempting, considering there have been over 2.5 goals in both teams last six games.

Steve Evans' men are fast becoming the league's away day specialists, winning nine of their 14 games on the road this season.

They have also been winning at both half time and full time in five of their last seven league games, and are 21/10 to do exactly that on Saturday.

Colchester have scored seven goals in their last two games, including a 4-2 thumping away at Carlisle last week. 6-1 on a one goal handicap for the Essex club may be worth some value if they bring their shooting boots.

The Millers' defence was a key component in Saturday's win, restricting a free scoring Orient side to just one goal. That said, there are tempting odds of 11/4 for Rotherham to win 2-0.

Rotherham are unbeaten against teams in the bottom half of the table this season, and will be hopeful that they can continue that run against a team placed 14th in the table.
