Rotherham United Futsal team have qualified for the 2nd round of the Soccer AM cup to be played at the Birmingham International Futsal Arena on Tuesday 11th February.
We will be taking a strong squad down for the group stages against Bradford City, Carlisle Utd and Southend Utd, with the attraction of either Derby County or Reading waiting in the quarter finals. The competition is to be televised on Sky Sports Soccer AM so our players will get the chance to showcase their talents in front of a national audience.Andy Warrington and Alex Nightingale are currently recruiting for the next cohort of players due to start in September 2014. The Futsal Scholarship is a mix of practical and theory based learning where they will achieve a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 3 A levels) whilst being able to play in both Regional and National Futsal leagues.
