Robert Milsom missed the game with Leyton Orient with a thigh strain...

Midfielder Robert Milsom missed the 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient because of a thigh strain.

The former Aberdeen man was forced to look on from the stands as Alex Revell struck an injury time winner for the Millers.

However, boss Steve Evans revealed after the game that the injury to Milsom isn’t expected to be serious.

“Rob picked up a little thigh strain at Tranmere on Tuesday night which we knew about, and he came off at Tranmere for that reason,” Evans told Millers Player.

“It was something we didn’t really want to publicise.”

Milsom’s place went to Richie Smallwood who pipped Michael O’Connor who was running late after his car suffered a puncture on the way to the stadium.

“Today we had a 50/50 call right up until 1pm when the only thing we had to decide about the team was whether Richie Smallwood or Michael O’Connor would start,” added Evans.

“That decision became easy because unfortunately Michael had a puncture on the way to the ground and was running late, and probably that is what got Richie the nod.”
