Gametime a positive for the Millers...

Paul Raynor left the Keepmoat disappointed following last night's reserve team outing, but not disheartened after seeing his side held to a 0-0 draw by a young Doncaster Rovers outfit.

Although starting slowly, the Millers enjoyed the lion’s share of the play especially in the first-half with Tom Hitchcock and Nicky Adams causing problems for the Rovers defence, only to see their efforts wide of the mark, or blocked by the relatively untested Jonathan Maxted.

“It was disappointing not to win, in terms of what we created in the first-half,” Raynor said after the game. “We saw a lot of the ball, got in good areas and didn’t take the opportunities that came along, so some good build up play, some good performances particularly in the first-half but we’re disappointed not to come away with a win.”

Craig Morgan completed 90 minutes on his return from injury and illness, whilst Michael O’Connor and Nicky Adams got more minutes under their belt

“We’ll wait and see. The gaffer might want to freshen things up, the boys have put a lot of effort into games in recent weeks coming on strong late in games can take it out of you, so if the Gaffer does want to make changes then they’ve put some positive thoughts in his mind. Rob has been out for a few weeks now and it was important not to push him too hard; thigh injuries are awkward ones to get over so it was important not to push him too hard and 45 minutes were enough for tonight.
