Rotherham United v Stevenage - Betting Preview

After an enforced break from action due to last week's postponed fixture down at Colchester, Rotherham take on rock bottom Stevenage at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Broadhall Way back in November, and are 10/1 with Sky Bet to repeat that feat this time round.

Stevenage are having a tough time of it down at the bottom of the division, and have found life on the road difficult, losing their last three games away from home. There are odds of 8/15 for that to happen again.

Recently, the only thing you can confidently predict with Steve Evans' men is that there will be goals. There has been over 2.5 goals in their last six home games in league on, 4/5 perhaps suggests that most bookmakers are cottoning on to the entertainment you can expect in South Yorkshire.

Despite some fairly patchy home form early on in the season, the Millers have steadied in front of their own crowd, losing just one of their last five games on their own patch.

This has been helped in no small part by top scorer Kieran Agard, and many punters will be tempted by odds of 18/1 on the forward to score first in a 2-1 Rotherham win.

Scoring goals has been Stevenage's Achilles heel so far this season, with Gary Smith's men netting just 27 times in as many games, which is a League One low.

That being said, 5/6 for both teams not to score may be tempting for some, as long as the hosts bring their shooting boots.

One more interesting statistic for anyone fancying a flutter will be that Stevenage have been losing at half time and full time in their last three games, odds of 5/4 for a repeat will be sure to whet your appetite.
