Fans are being given the opportunity to vote for what they think was the best Football League goal of 2013 after Sky Sports’ Soccer AM announced the list of the 10 strikes in contention to be named ‘Mitre Goal of the Year’ at the Football League Awards 2014.

Franck Moussa – Coventry City (v Leyton Orient)
James Poole – Hartlepool United (v Notts County)
Shane Lowry – Millwall (v Charlton Athletic)
James Constable – Oxford United (v Torquay United)
Britt Assombalonga – Peterborough United (v Bristol City)
Josh Brownhill – Preston North End (v Carlisle United)
Troy Deeney – Watford (v Leicester City)
A Football League panel pulled together the top ten strikes of last year following submissions from each of the 72 Football League clubs. The ten contenders for the award were announced on Soccer AM and viewers’ votes will now help decide the five-strong shortlist to go forward to the Football League Awards evening itself on Sunday 16th March.
Alongside the vote, there is also a prize draw to win two places at the Awards and up to £200 towards travel and accommodation.
Voting will close on Tuesday 25h February.
