Steve Evans praises competition in the squad...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has a full squad to choose from for the visit of Stevenage with the only doubt hanging over Robert Milsom.

The duo returned to the fold for the postponed fixture at Colchester United last week but Evans now says he has a full squad to chose from, albeit midfielder Milsom will be subject to a late decision.

“Everyone’s available,” Evans told Millers Player. “Perhaps if we’re being honest Rob Milsom possibly needs until next week as he’s not quite 100%, but look, if this is the last game of the season he’s throwing himself in front of my vision to say pick me. At the end of the day I’ll speak with the medical department and we’ll see where we are.”

Should Milsom be declared fit it leaves the Millers boss with a selection headache in the middle of the park as Northern Ireland international Michael O’Connor nudges himself back into contention.

“We’ve got competition all around the pitch now, four fit centre-backs, Michael O’Connor getting fitter every day, and I mean really looking better as each day passes. Now he’s competing with Frecklington, Milsom and Smallwood for a place in the middle of the park, and then there’s good options up front too.”
