Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...
Manager Steve Evans has admitted there will be changes to his side for tonight’s Capital One Cup tie against Fleetwood Town.
Evans first alluded to possible tinkering to his starting 11 after Saturday’s narrow defeat at Derby County, but speaking to Millers Player ahead of the League Cup clash at New York the Millers boss confirmed there won’t be wholesale changes.
“There won’t be lots of changes,” said Evans. “We’ll have to think carefully about what we do because we have an opposition in Fleetwood Town that have a Chairman that I know well, and I really respect in Andy Pilley and what he has done there is incredible. They have signed some excellent players; they got a great win on Saturday in League One so it will be tough.”
Evans also confirmed that close season signing Febian Brandy is close to full-fitness following a minor thigh issue during pre-season.
“Febian Brandy is closer,” Evans revealed. “Febian has trained this morning, that was the first time he has trained pain free for two and a half weeks, so he will need another week of intensive training.”
