Frecklington scoops Player of the Year award

Lee Frecklington scooped the Rotherham United Player of the Year award at tonight’s End of Season dinner at New York Stadium, sponsored by Hornbuckle Mitchell.

Frecklington was presented with his prize by Chris Ward of CCH Ward who the sponsored award.

Frecklington beat off stern competition from fellow nominees Ben Pringle, Kieran Agard, Alex Revell, Craig Morgan and Adam Collin to collect the accolade after a fantastic season for the Millers.

The 28-year-old playmaker has been one of the major factors in the Millers success this term, with the former Peterborough operator also chipping in with 12 goals from 45 appearances so far in all competitions.

Also on the night Tom Hitchcock picked up the Goal of the Season award for his clinical finish against Gillingham for his hat-trick strike in the 4-3 victory, whilst Alex Revell was awarded with the Community Player of the Year accolade.
