England Under 18s host Germany at New York Stadium...

Middlesbrough youngster Bryn Morris looks set to lead England under 18s next Wednesday for the showdown with Germany at New York Stadium.

The Millers new home will play host to International football for the second time when England take on Germany on the 16th April, kick off 7.30pm.

Morris has been the Lions skipper for the majority of games this season and looks set to lead Neil Dewsnip’s young chargers next week.

“I’ve always been proud to do it,” said Morris. “It’s one of those things when you’re younger that you dream of doing, to play for your country, so to be captain as well is something else. You just have to keep grafting and working hard to stay there.”

Morris is expecting a stern examination from their German counterparts as England play outside St. George’s Park for the first time this season.

“It’s obviously better to play at a stadium for us, in order to get used to it for the future,” added Morris.

“As you progress in your career, you want to play in stadiums and in front of crowds so it’s a good experience to start younger.

“I expect them (Germany) to be strong and physical but also technical as well. But I think with the players in our team, we have the ability to beat anyone so if we turn up on the day we can match them and beat them I think. I don’t think we should be afraid of them or go into the game thinking that we can’t get a result.”

Tickets are still on sale for this fixture priced at just £3 for adults, £1 for children, 50p OAPs/students/disabled and for groups of 15 or more [bookable in advance only], it is just 50p admission.
