Ben Pringle admitted he was honoured to have been included in the Sky Bet League One PFA Team of the Year.
A mainstay of the Millers side who have taken the division by storm, Pringle has excelled with a host of eye catching displays during the campaign. His performances have certainly impressed his peers with all the players in the PFA eligible to cast their votes with the leading names put into the divisional starting 11.
“I have known for around a week but it wasn’t announced until last night, but obviously I was delighted to be included,” Pringle told www.themillers.co.uk
“To be selected is special but what makes it extra special is that the votes are cast by your peers. I am very proud and happy to be in the team alongside some terrific players.”
Pringle was also honoured with a Player of the Year nomination on Saturday night at the Rotherham United End of Season awards, whilst the former Derby players’ strike against Sheffield Wednesday came runner-up in the Goal of the Season category.
Overall it has been a season to remember for the 24-year-old, and he hopes that he can finish in style with a victory at Wembley.
“It has been a great season, I thought last year was special but we have taken it on and it isn’t over yet,” he added.
“We will all be trying our utmost to finish the season in style and hopefully be victorious in the play-offs.”
